Craziness :)

Delta Terminal at JFK Airport for forcing a nursing mother to drink her own breast milk

Scary..
'Either drink all three bottles or you're not getting on the plane.'

the reason:

'There could be explosives in the baby bottles and [she] could throw something at the stewardesses'

They wouldn't even let her feed her own baby the milk as proof...

"The polite inspector informed me that he had to check my shoes for explosives.I dutifully removed them and handed them to him. He picked them up one by one and slammed them down on the floor with full force.
Apparently, as they hadn't exploded, they were not dangerous, and he handed them back to me to put back on."

Thats fantastic, as security retardedness* goes.

*is that actually a word?

Personally, I would have insisted he light the shoelaces, just to check...

I got the "whats in the bottle," "water," "would you take a drink of it please," routine at LAX. hehehehe... I found it very amusing.

Lets just hope when I try to transport a 1/2 case of homebrew cross-country this month they don't make me uncap all the bottles and take a drink of each. I'm pretty sure they won't want me carrying the bottle-capper with me to re-seal them...

Reading these security issues reminds me of a saying "Genius has limits - stupidity doesn't"

:)

Have a great day!
