Hi all

I am looking to buy a digital camera, nothing too fancy. I will be using it primarily to take pictures of products for one of my websites.

I have been told that I shouldn't bother with anything less that a 2 Megapixel camera, so that's basically what I am after

Any recommendations on what I should buy and where I should go to.

I advise you get something at least a 2 megapixels - the higher the better.

Anything over five million is expensive but you are getting near the quality of real film.

Purchasing a camera with USB (preferably without the need for software)and large memory capacity is essential.

We use a SONY DSC-P72 Cyber-shot with 0 to 3.2x zoom. very handy camera with a bucket load of features.

I would try before you buy - most shops will let you play with them in the street before you purchase then download them and compare the quality over a range of different ones.

When buying such items never think of today but next year and where your site could lead even in your wildest dreams.

Once you have considered this then try and choose a camera.

I humbly would recommend one of the SRL digital cameras.

The Canon A40 is a lovely 2 megapixel camera for the amazingly low price of £178 online (including delivery, vat and free goodies!)

This camera has FANTASTIC lens quality and oodles of gizmo's (such as a nice little movie mode option) Plus it FEELS like a camera in the hand with it's nice weight and even proportions.
