I have two rings in my left ear, a bar through my tongue and a ring through my nipple :)

I also used to have a pierced eyebrow until it got ripped out in my sleep.

JuDDer, ouch bet that hurt, i had to rings in my belly button, which incedentally is an "outy" belly button, one grew out and the other i cut out with bolt cutters because it didnt look right without its partner, and bolt cutters was the only way, it wouldnt come willingly.

I just got my nose pierced, contrary to the liking of a close friend.

I used to have a labret piercing (chin) for a few years, but I took it out cause it was annoying. Started rubbing down my gums and it knocked against my teeth. Made eating apples hard. It was kinda fun though. I repierced myself a few times with a needle (mouth piercings heal up way fast). Didn't hurt much at all.

Hi newbie here so having a ball replying to everything at the mo.
I have 3 holes in one ear, 2 in the other. I also have a bolt in my tongue. I used to have my lip and nose pierced but was kindly told to remove them for work. I got it done because its not permanent unlike tattooing. Having said that i have a full sleeve tattoo on my left arm from shoulder to wrist. No more, it began to hurt too much.

oh man ,i dont like piericng. when i see someone playing with piericng in their tongue or beard below lower lip ,using teeth or lips..that is so repulsive to ME. how can you get your tongue pierced.or other sensitive parts? nipple? why in the world would anyone do this? i have this fear of piercing accidentally tearing that part where you have it or piercing "hurting" any my part that cames to contact with it. maybe nose,ear or eyebrow piercing are ok but niple?tongue? i get shivers even thinking of this. please someone explain me positive side of geting tongue or nipple or even some private part pierced? tatoo on the other hand is cool :)

can you explain? i dont get it(English is not my mothers language). I am telling about the way how I think,not in general. With ROI i meant that in MY EYES positive things do not prevail negative thigns when you get sensitive parts pierced.

Actually, I've heard horror stories of irreversible nerve damage caused by piercings in places where you wouldn't want irreversible nerve damage. I try to keep my piercings to places where nerve damage isn't such a terrifying idea...

"OMG! My earlobe/navel is numb!" Just not that scary, is it? ;) (Not sure about the tongue, but I've never heard of someone suffering nerve damage from a tongue piercing... the tissue inside the human mouth heals incredibly quickly, so that might be part of the reason.)

i have 15 piercings....13 in my left ear, one in my nose, and one which i refuse to discuss in a public forum. i also have 2 very obvious tattoos - one on my left, er, chest area and one massive one on my right arm. i have psychedelic purple hair (at the moment) and a dress sense that causes outwards gasps daily.

the point of this revelation is that i also hold right now and have held in the past senior positions at very very conservative organisations. i've been with my present company (employing 12,000 people) for 2 years - leaving soon though - and they have got to be the most corporate, stick in the mud organisation i have ever come across. this is where fun goes to die.

yet somehow i have always got away with it - in fact i would say that my "unique" appearance even works in my favour quite often. i find this interesting, and for my own amusement i have even deliberately seen how far i can push the boundaries on occasion. it appears that once you are accepted as being "odd" in your appearance but really good at your job you will command respect regardless.

i truly believe that personality, excellent work ethics and a good reputation can overcome obstacles regarding individuality and i will never "conform" just for a job. i'm probably in the minority here, but this has been my experience my entire working life.

I must say I like beautifying piercings. The ones I like are always simple and delicate.

For the not-so-delicate I have to ask: Adoration or mutilation? Is it creative expression or simple attention getting?

I think there are some people that like to make others feel uncomfortable. I get a sense with the people who display visually loud, scary and even vulgar piercings, they do it to gain attention by repulsing. It certainly does not attract me... it makes me feel queasy.

Let's face it, some piercings are meant to look mean and tough. Not friendly and wholesome.

I am not saying that 'mean and tough' is not an art form but...

I myself don't think the 'mean look' is the way to go for choosing a public appearance. It comes with consequences. It will just make everyday relationships harder. To each their own. IMHO LOL
