Hi all,

I have a client who has a small win2k network. He wants to cut down on personal web surfing during office ours. However, the web is a vital reasource to his business so he doesn't want to use filtering software to block sites from being viewed.

I believe, as part of the charter, it is ok to name drop products as long as they as free.

I am looking for a piece of free software that will long how visited what websites and when. The software should be able to email the log on a regular basis. It should also be descrete.

Can anyone recommend any software or some downloads sites where I might be able to get this from.

Chris.

Any help? I have found shareware but it must be free and discrete. The shareware isn't discrete until it's purchased.

Does your client have a firewall? Most firewalls log users surfing, which can then be viewed...?

I don't know of anything off the top of my head, but maybe some sort of network monitoring tool may do the job. I'm not sure if something like NetBus has this functionality, but it may be worth a look...

Have a look here [slac.stanford.edu] and here [alw.nih.gov], there may be something that does the trick for you!

Thank BlobFisk,

Didn't find what I was looking for. I guess he will have to either pay or uses and remote connection tool to see whats on their screen.
