I am wonder if anyone had tried Ip Telephony, and which applications you've liked so far, i tested it a long time ago (over 33,6kb :) )

It doesn't have to be a brilitan quality just hearable would do, it's starting to get a little bit expensive calling to the maldives all the time ;)

Never bothered... I keep hearing about problems with sound quality and lag time.

I suppose if both users had broadband connections and a good pipeline between them, the lag might not be an issue though.

The only person I can't call for free using my cell phone is my sister in the Czech Republic. Given the lag times I tend to get for connections to Europe, I doubt it would be worth the trouble. Especially since I don't even know if she has access to a computer equiped for the task.

The problem i have is that i only have mobile phones, so when people call me it tends to be quite expensive.
Not so much when i call them (I think i get around 2000 minutes per month free :) )
