If the 1.01 mHz blazing speed of the commodore 64 wasn't enough reason to be amazed....

Anyone remember drive music. The first time I heard it I was in awe. A perfect rendition (for a drive head that is) of a "Bicycle Built for Two" out of the disk drive itself.

I typed in Load "*",8,1 a few times on that one...

hehe. I worked at a commodore repair depot in the mid 80's for a few months. That was right the time (compute?) published that typein program. Man, we had drives coming in for alignment for months afterwards.

I think the biggest problem with those 64s (coorect me if I am wrong) was those power supplies. Great for keeping your feet warm in the winter - needs to be replaced every 6 months or so....

I only had my 64 from 84ish to 87.

Those were the days. The things you could do with 64k of ram....
