Probably nothing has enriched the webmaster vocabulary more than widgets. We'd practically be lost without them.
I've never had one break down, talk back or give me any grief whatsoever. They're handy for just about everything.

Its just swell having widgets around. How do you feel about them?

They've been around a lot longer than the web, G60. I know I had "Widgets 101" in undergrad B school. I think one of later classes in international commerce & economics required a paper on "The effects of hyperinflation in Uruguay on the distribution of widgets in South America." Very intense stuff!

Yeah rc, I know they've manifested themselves in a multitude of incarnations. That's another thing that's so great about them. And, as I mentioned, they're handy for just about anything.

Speaking of widgets, we ought to have a contest someday, where we each set up a website promoting "widgets" and see how much traffic we can attract or what kind of rankings we can achieve... might be a fun WebmasterWorld contest :)

Truly one of the most versatile inventions of modern times. Much better than sliced bread. :) My fuzzy blue widget does an excellent job of keeping watch over my laptop at home.

Mivox - As I recall, its a rather well travelled blue widget, too. I think I ran into it in London, if its the one I remember. They do get around.

It would be fun, but keep in mind you would be competing against The Grandmaster himself [google.com]. :)

I'm the most senior editor at the Blue Widgets Directory.

We might add your sites under "other widgets of note" CAT

TOS:
We can do anything with your title and description we choose to do and there is nothing that you, your mother, your sister or brother can do about it.
