Alaska's More Important Laws

In Fairbanks it is considered an offense to feed alcoholic beverages to a moose.

While it is legal to shoot bears, waking a sleeping bear for the purpose of taking a photograph is prohibited.

It is considered an offense to push a live moose out of a moving airplane.

One more question : Since you started home brewing, what kind of meat is on the menu?

I wonder what they do to people who push a moose out of an airplane, which in turn falls directly into a vat of grain alcohol, thus waking the bear sleeping adjacent the vat.

Moose are BIG... I certainly wouldn't want to see one wandering around drunk. If it decided to get belligerent you'd have to call in the National Guard. hehehehe.

Not much for fruit trees in this climate... and all the brewing "scraps" that we toss outside are frozen before they get a chance to ferment, so I think we're OK on the drunk moose front.

...but that's a case in point why you should not feed alcohol to large animals. hehehe.

Up until very recently, garden centres in the UK were allowed to sell plants, but not compost, spades etc on a Sunday, the reason being that if you bought a plant you would look at it, but if you bought compost or a spade it implied that you would be working the Holy Day.
