refer yourself for a discount

Today's funny:
I have a client that sells a particular product online. On the order form there is a section were you can fill out the name of a person who referred you and that person gets a free month's worth of the product. Today we got an order from a guy that put his own name in the referal box. No doubt he expects a free month for referring himself - gave me a bit of a chuckle over my first cup of coffee :)

I run an affiliate program and see this all the time.... people signing up as their own subaffiliates. I don't mind if they buy my product using their own affiliate code, but signing up as your own subaffiliate is ridiculous.

I always sign up for things under my affiliate to test to make sure it works properly and I get paid properly :)
