A colleague of mine appears to have had his system 'infected' indirectly somehow by this site (www.theadmanager.com). We've run the usual anti-scumware diagnostics and cleaning tools (courtesy of Lavasoft [lavasoftusa.com]) several times, rebooting after each one, and still can't seem to get rid of it.

Has anyone else come across this lot before, and know of a way to get rid of their very annoying random pop-up adverts?

I found this a good while back and now can't remember the name or where I read it.

It appears to be a file placed in windows that controls this action...try the scumware and thiefware sites and read...you may find it. Doing a google on scumware will bring up quite a bit of info.

Good luck...I had it to and once you identify the file and delete it, it solves the problem

You might try cleaning your registry. I use jv16 PowerTools [vtoy.fi] (not affiliated).
