What someone who spent the last ten years in academia? This guy is probably going to have no idea about how to run a profitable business, and have some wacky idea of giving people what they want, rather than selling out and making a fast buck.

But kind of business application could you get out of "Near Neighbor Search in Large Metric Spaces"? He should go work for the DMCA with that "Copy Detection Mechanisms for Digital Documents".
