Just saw that on the tube on local evening news. Touristic bookings are back or even better that it was in year 2000. (From Québec)

Most popular destinations are the cheapest : Dominican Republic and Cuba. Florida slipped in 5 th position from first, mainly because of currency exchange.

My tourism sites get about 30 % more traffic than last year. Any such positive news from elsewhere around the globe?

Mac, looking at my bookings only, rather than traffic stats, I was noting a small uptick in the weeks just prior to PubCon. Also, during my own recent travels, there was ample anecdotal evidence that "bargain-basement" costs are encouraging extended shoulder seasons.
