Just spend about 30 mins filling out the editor application form. Got to the end and clicked on submit only to be presented with a 404. Clicked on back and the form was blank. Ok. What are the odds on them getting it?

Not good.

I saw a recent post about a guy who spent..what was it...2 hours doing his app...then it timed out?

Needless to say he was upset.

I was using word to ensure I didnt have any typo's. I didn't however save then, I just used copy paste to the form, then cut what was on word and typed out my next field.

Make mental note for next time. Save each field :(

Do they generaly send an auto response confirmation or should I not wait and just try again?

Yes, and you have to reply to this email. If you did not receive an email, your application may not have gone through.

Is there a chance Word may have autosaved and left something in your temp folder you can salvage? Assuming you have it set up that way. It's a long shot (I'm not sure how long those backup files hang around), but I once managed to get back half a file from there after I stupidly deleted it.

I took a look in my office .dat files.. it only displays files that whre saved then deleted. :(

DMOZ is periodically down for maintainence these days (upgrading the backend code). Be petience, things should be better when finished.
