the cultural alarm clock that Paul McCartney set 39 years ago is ringing. The man who sang "When I'm Sixty-Four" in 1967 turns 64 today.Article here [seattletimes.nwsource.com]
You're singing along right now, aren't you?
Yup! I remember when that song was released. and I always used to poke my Dad (who was 57 at the time) and I'd tell him that I wouldn't need him but if he was good ... very, very good ... I would consider feeding him when he got to be 64. :)
Its a good song and relevant to all of us at any age! Good article grandpa! Its hard to believe McCartney is only 13 years older than I am. I always thought he was ancient when I was a kid and the Beatles were IT! He's the same age as my oldest brother. Funny how we don't really relate to age until we are "older".
Here I sit at 4:40 a.m. writing nonsensicle things on a forum 'cause my back hurts and I can't sleep! Sigh. Aging sucks!
