A good friend of mine just died

I've been asked to make a memorial site for his family and friends

This past Friday a close friend of mine passed away at the young age of 26 due to cancer. I've been requested to contruct a memorial site as a tribute to him that his friends and family can visit and leave messages/upload pictures and such. Well... The wake is today and the funeral is tomorrow so I'm looking for ideas to make something nice for the family quickly.

It sounds like all I really need is a guesbook or blog script that allows users to upload images.. Know of any that have a fast learning curve? I'm technically literate but I am definitely NOT speedy when I have to edit code and I don't want it to look or feel rushed.

Thanks!

Sorry to hear about your friend Fribble.

It may be just as easy to do it yourself by accepting emailed comments and adding them to the site manually. It will be only temporary and it's not as though you were going to get thousands of contributors. This may be easier and quicker than trying to learn and set up some new software.

I'm sorry, as well, to hear about your loss. If you Google Terry Crummitt, you'll find a very touching memorial site. It looks like they posted email comments manually.

Thanks for your comments and the link.

I think I will do something similar to the site for Terry for now - and then work on it a little more after the funeral.

Thanks!

Yahoo web hosting offers hosting for about $7 a month and a guestbook/ blog comes with it. Probably a good choice.
