bobothecat, you were a very close second. Would you like to host next week?

Sure, especially since I was absent for the last time I was supposed to. It'll be my way of asking for forgiveness :)

Since the date seems to have changed a few times... what's the 'official' Gizmo day/time of the week?

Here's what they told me last week:

the normal time was saturday, then it was moved to monday. However you could preferably host any time from Saturday to Monday. (or any other day). Just give a few hours warning before.

Yep, seems to be a sliding scale. Just give enough advanced warning; preferably the day before and once the day of.

Let's plan on Sunday (May 28th) next week - I'll post the official time on the 27th. (hint: probably around the same time as this one was) ;)

... and great gizmo Treeline!

Darn, missed it this time. Great Gizmo treeline. Very clever move, lawman, to pass the next Gizmo Quiz on to the second. ;-)

Hehe, it wouldn't have been deliberate. But in the interest of fairness, especially given how close the scores currently are, I propose to introduce a new rule to say that the winner of the previous gizmo quiz should not partake in the subsequent quiz unless, of course, they're hosting. Anyone have any objections?

Will update the scoreboard later today.

Ah, I see it's been re-written...

Hehe - yes, your name to the left of the post was a bit of a giveaway :)

Thanks. I fixed one formatting bug. It's a nightmare to edit isn't it...

Not long to go now! I'm still waiting for LisaB to come along and win 5 in a row though...

No objections at all... though I would question who actually won the last Quiz:

lawman:

magnetron

treeline:

lawman,
You're getting a lot closer. even a little is a lot in this case...

Perhaps a very high tech version, with a lot of adaptation could be used to....

bobothecat:

Magnetron for a microwave oven?

treeline:

It is a magnetron for a microwave oven. That's correct.

I was robbed... we need a recount :)

I assumed that since most homes do not have a radar tracking system, adding "for a microwave oven" to "magnetron" was an obvious, unnecessary, and superflous redundancy, something I would never, ever do in a million years.

I'm just messing with you lawman ;)

You should be allowed to participate in all Gizmo's... there's been many times that I've never laughed as hard... I enjoy reading your responses... or is that some secret ploy?

I know. I guess I wasn't as obvious as I thought.

In fairness, I wrote that about the latest nonsensical installment. My distraction writing that kept me from seeing the magnetron post until after there were several.

I think treeline is missing in the scoreboard.

I am going to be unable to do the Gizmo Quiz as promised, due to an unforseen family emergency. If someone else would like to take the reins, I'd greatly appreciate it!

My apologies to all.
