Lopsided Lemon Tree

The part I want to cut is the most productive

This may sound silly. I always wanted a nice productive lemon tree.
I lived in apartments for years. At one complex they had this amazing lemon tree
that produced nice big fruit all year around.

Finally I got into my own house. Not easy in California.

First thing, I bought a lemon tree (small one or two gallon pot) and plugged it into the dirt.
It died. Too much fertilizer? I went and bought another one.
This is a very residential area, no farms or whatever,
and believe it or not, somebody's rabbit ate the second little tree!

The rabbit used to visit daily. It would eat a carrot out of my hand. Finally a dog ate the rabbit

In goes the THIRD little tree. It grew like gangbusters!
I have years-round lemons now, but one problem remains.
The tree is lop-sided.

On one side, its nicely shaped, but that side produces fewer lemons.
On the other side, the branches hang down to the ground making the tree look wonky.
Those are the branches with the most and best lemons.

Should I go ahead a prune the tree back into shape, or go find another rabbit?
Presumably, a rabbit can't reach the better shaped branches.
If I prune, will the internal lemon juice migrate over to the more noble upright side of the tree?

I have to brag that these are real lemons, organic and full strength.
2 or 3 are more than enough to make a very good and convincing lemon pie.
Fresh lemon slices are just great in drinks, even with a cold German or Dutch beer.

The dumb-assed rabbit would only eat the leaves, never the fruit. -Larry

Which side of the tree gets the most sun? The fruit-producing side or the nicely-shaped but lemon-stingy side?

In any event, I don't think I'd prune the little tree. I'd just pick the fruit early on the 'heavy' side and see if the weak side started bearing more fruit.
