Message Too Old, No Replies

I wasted money on adsense, and I'm proud of it.

$9 later, my wiki is still empty

I had an old AdWords account with $9 credit left, so I decided to spend it on some traffic to a wiki that I own. This special-interest wiki is empty except for a few dozen articles I have written myself... I was hoping that a few paid visitors might kick-start some new topics.

$9 later, i had dozens of visitors. They came. They saw an empty wiki. They left.

Well, at least I tried.

Now I want to dump another $5 into it. I know it will probably follow that first $9 into oblivion. Should I do it?

I need donations to feed my AdWords habit. I could beg at busy intersections with a cardboard sign.

Why not cut out the middleman and donate direct to AdSense Addicts Anonymous (the charity for eCPM victims)?

if after these another $5 someone writes an article for your Wiki, the article will cost you $14 and does not have to be long and nice.
sounds *&^%$# expensive to me.
Better get a red bull for that cash and write an article yourself :-)

Perhaps you need to pay someone to write articles with glaring or annoying mistakes.

Then pay for adwords - the visitors will be inspired to correct the mistakes, thus breaking down the barrier to visitor-interaction.

Why not feed your AdWords habit by using AdWords to beg for donations..? It may be possible to reach a level of self-sufficiency. :-)

Tried it. Doesn't work.

[edit reason] Not when it's hosted on the Wiki you're posting about ;) Post the Ad text maybe? [/edit]
