Wireless Internet ISP

Need a short term all over solution

I am looking to buy wireless service for my laptop. I need all over service (Like that of many cell phone providers) but all of the major cell phone companies, (Verizon, cingular, sprint) require at least a 1 year contract to be signed and I just need it for the summer. Any idea on a company that offers this service with no commitment?

Hi,

Letting us know which country you are in for a start would help (I'm guessing the US), then which state etc!

In Europe and indeed much of the rest of the world 3G/GPRS works well most places and is of the order of $1/MB. If you have a 3G/GPRS provider in your area try them. Gives reasonable speed with low latency; very much like a slowish DSL.
