Their spam filters worked pretty well until 2-3 weeks ago. Now it's one huge joke. I mean even the most obvious spam makes it through. Anyone else having this problem?

Yeah mine is horrible. I keep getting morgage, income tax and loan spam. And as you said, it was perfectly fine a few weeks ago.

Is this part of the 'pay a penny and not get blocked' scenerio?

I pay, it's my ISP mail that I use web-based and I'm also getting swamped. Much of it isn't even getting filtered into the bulk folder - mostly pharm stuff.

What's ironic is that I can't send mail to AOL users (or to domains being forwarded and delivered through their server), more than likely because it's going through Yahoo's mail servers.

Yes, a few weeks ago I started getting tons of Pharma emails, mostly from one-name senders like Adam and Gregory. They seemed to taper way off about a week ago; I haven't bothered to see if the spam-blocker has simply gotten better at diverting them.

It offers wry amusement to see leetish alterations to the product names being used to pitch a middle-age demographic! Imagine some balding executive muttering to himself, "Wow, a great deal on the p1lls I've been seeking- W00T!" :)

Uncool though Yahoo Mail may seem to serious webmasters, I like using it as my personal mail. Wish I knew why the "not spam" feature disappeared.

odd, I've used ymail for years and while I do see an increase in the number of items autolanding in the bulk/spam folder, I've not noticed any appreciable increase of items reaching the in-box. perhaps sitting around amongst the trees and knocking on the trunks is paying a dividend of sorts :)

I see the same, but not that many, maybe 4 spams a day on the indbox, but 20 on the bulk, I think yahoo email is the best used it for years.
