What was your major?

I'm curious to know... What was your major in college?

I'm declared Accounting right now, but I really enjoy web design/programming. The only options I really have if I wanted to major in something web-related would either be Computer Science or Telecommunications. Looking at the different programs, though, it doesn't seem like there is much in the way for web development.

I like the Accounting from a business standpoint, but I'd like to learn more about the other aspects. I'm a Junior right now, so it's kind of late for me for me to change, but I'm just looking for a little input.

I agree with this in part. You don't learn useful skills in a college or university with the exception of "how to learn."

Also, while a lot of people ask the question, "Why do I have to take English and History if I am going to be ...?" The answer is to make you a more well rounded human being. Besides, it makes it much easier to answer the questions when you watch Jeopardy.

High school grad with a 1 year at a Business Tech school ..

Four years of Russian and German, all of which was great fun and two languages which I still find quite a lot of opportunities to use today. Then I flew out to Japan for a year and a half to teach English in two schools and take a conversion postgrad in Japanese. Unfortunately I've forgotten 90% of the Japanese I learned in Japan. (But, for anyone who is curious, a rounin is a samurai with no master).
