Hello everyone,
My name is Jonathan.

Recently, I have decided that it would be a good idea to
create several Adsense accounts. Now, before you scream
at me, I did take the time to read many previous threads
on this exact issue ...

It seems that it is against the rules to have more than
one account, but in *certain* situations, it is allowed.

I would like to hear from those people that have two or
more accounts - that they specifically setup (with Google
acknowledgement). Please don't post if you simply setup
a couple of accounts way back, and are yet to be busted.

Also, please don't throw in the obligatory "why do you
need two accounts anyway" style post. I, and many other
webmasters have their reasons. I would like to start a
solid discussion on the matter if possible, and perhaps
even seek clarification from Google staff members once
things are considered.

My previous research seems to suggest that if you have
two or more seperate legal entities (ie companies), it
is an appropriate difference to allow such a situation.
What are your thoughts?

Thanks for your time.

Cheers,
Jonathan
P.S. - I do not have multiple accounts. But, I would if
Google allowed me.

Not a lawyer, but I understand that incorporated businesses are separate entities, even if you're the "CEO." I can't imagine Google would/could have a problem with that. Just make sure the payments go to the corps and not you by name. But by all means do NOT take my theory as informed... just my somewhat educated opinion.

OK, so you figured it out. What's your question (that's not already covered in those previous threads)?

Each member can have a personal account, He can also have a corporate ( business ) account on the same address.

Your family members on the same address can also have independenr accounts.

Now- remember one thing, Google knows all. They have ways and systems to find out the accounts 'related' to each other, so when one of them goes banned, other havea strong chance to get banned too. ( read older posts ).

Practically, it is better to have one account, unless ofcourse if you have accounting reasons.

What could be your practical reason? Please share ( in forum or sticky ), so that i can suggest accordingly.

The guaranteed perfect way to handle this situation is to email google and ask them how you accomplish what you want to accomplish.

Explain your situation, explain your reason for needing another account and they will tell you what qualfies for doing it.

It is guaranteed to work.

I wouldn't advise ANYONE to just attempt setting up a second account with going over it with google first.

So e-mail them, and they will tell you what you can and can not do.

Trust me.

Great post. Very useful. I thought the answer was obvious.

I want to know "under what conditions" is it acceptable
to have multiple accounts. I spent about 45 minutes with
Google, searching past threads to determine an answer ...

But, I didn't find anything rock solid, and many of the
posts were quite old. I was hoping someone had a more
informative answer. I suppose I will have to email the
Google staff.

This thread [webmasterworld.com] is recent and pretty comprehensive on the issue. Please get back with any questions not covered there. If you're expecting a Google written guide to opening multiple accounts I'm afraid they're about as easy to find as Google written guides on how to create scraper sites.
