You'll only get paid for the first click the visitor makes but I guarantee you a 20% CTR per visitor.
Chitika needs the business from cheesed off webmasters. Google needs the lesson in customer service.
Their list of unwanted countries is lengthy and they will audit out clicks from there. These aren't countries considered fraudulent, as far as I can tell its countries their merchants might not deliver to.
So I mostly obtained traffic from the US and Canada.
I'm also expecting multiple clicks to be audited out. I'm pretty sure some people arrive and click on every picture.
Soon we should be getting daily audits. That would be so handy.
I do wish they would implement some built in geotargeting like adsense though. If a users IP is from a known "clicks don't count country" I'd prefer that it didn't serve them an ad or displayed an alternate of my choice.
Freq---
CTR and eCPM
On the sites that I'm running both Adsense and eMiniMalls, my Adsense CTR did not decrease from historic levels. I did pickup additional clicks from eMiniMalls, so my overall page CTR and eCPM increased, which means revenue increased.
Note:My CTR did not decrease when Chitika removed the links on the product images.
EPC
EPC for AdSense and eMiniMalls for my niches are roughly the same.
Ad Inventory
The content on my sites happens to be a very good match for Chitika's inventory. Since I'm running AdSense, I run Chitika in non-contextual mode and provide them with relevant keywords for my pages. I can tweak the keywords to get the desired results.
Appearance
Chitika provides a decent level of control over the appearance of the ads. You can set sizes, colors, hide tabs and set which tab is active on load.
It exists only in their auditing software far as I can tell. I know it bizarrely includes all of the far east.
I reckon I've pestered them enough with questions this week, but contact them and ask, then post it if you can get an official list. Until I get a complete breakdown of countries I'm restricting Chitika to traffic from the US and Canada.
About two days ago I sent them a inquiry about what countries in Western Europe are supported for clicks, no response still...
I think in many ways Chitika is still a beta product. They know full well channel and auditing data is insufficient and a large part of the world isn't covered. I don't care. I can live with it. The alternative is Google and I hate Google. I have Battered Webmaster Syndrome from Google.
I've never seen a product whose time has come so well as Chitika's, and I'd rather they rolled it out right now with all its faults than waited and left me to Google's mercies.
The official Chitika blog [chitika.com...] mentions "US, Canada, Western Europe and Australia", previously they have revealed that traffic from UK & France is accepted.

Germany, France, Monaco and Malta
Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria
Italy, San Marino, Vatican City
Spain, Andorra, Portugal and Gibraltar
Until today, I thought San Marino was somewhere near Jamaica. And I have to wonder about the ex soviet countries such as Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
Perhaps someome wants to summon a Chitika rep to this thread?

Errr...are you jesting? It's in central Italy!
Third smallest state in Europe and claims to be the world's oldest republic...there's even a F1 Grand Prix named after it. Population about 29,000...
If San Marino is famous for driving round and round in cars to see how fast they can go while not getting anywhere, that would explain why I never heard of it :)
Geography, sport and diplomacy aren't my strong points.
