New ad formats?

A 120x360 ad would be really cool...

I've used the official form to suggest this to G in the past, but I'm posting it here in case someone is listening that has influence...

I designed the look and feel of my site long before I knew about adsense. Therefore, I'm slightly restricted as to which ad units fit my already existing ad placements.

I use mostly the 468x60 banner and the 120x240 vertical banner. I'd like to have more than two ads in that vertical space, but a 120x600 skyscraper (with four ads) is just too tall for that part of my page.

It would be really helpful for my look and feel if I could have something like a 120x360 vertical banner. It would be like the 120x240, but include three ads instead of two.

Does anyone else think a 120x360 vertical ad banner would be advantageous?

On many of the ad units, you can adjust the height/width variable to get sizes you want. I do
it on my sites to create a 160x480 wide sky scraper because the standard layout doesn't fix my site. Try something like this. It's pretty close to what you are looking for. As

google_ad_width = 160;
google_ad_height = 364;
google_ad_format = "160x600_as";
google_ad_type = "text";
google_color_border = "000000";
google_color_bg = "F0F0D2";
google_color_link = "0000FF";
google_color_url = "000000";
google_color_text = "000000";

Yes, surely, editing those parameters is modifying the AS code, which we've been told here over and over is a big no-no and can get you terminated. No?

I really wish Adsense would provide an option of getting only 1 ad in 468-60 size.

In this way you could put that on the top of the results and complement with the results listed below.

What do you think about this?

Thank you.

Just so you know, if you adjust the height and width variable of the Google Adsense Javascript without permission from Google, you are breaking the Terms of Service and it's possible they could ban your account.

I wouldn't touch that javascript :)

Wow...

This forum is being bombarded with people who don't read the TOS.

READ THE TOS -

And please, WHEN you do get removed from the program, please do not make a post about how you were wronged by Google in this forum. But instead, slice off one of your fingers for not reading the TOS in the first place.

You may as well add this to your AS code.

For another ad size suggestion, I'd like to see a 2x2 ad ... two wide and two tall.
