Adsense search box’s length is a bit too long, does google allow making the width a little shorter?

Also, does google have a page where I can look at its adsense search box formats?

nope you aren't allowed to change any part of it... this is why i stopped using Ad search way too many restrictions and the search form is just plain ugly for my site.

Doesn't Google allow you to designate the width of the search box when building the code?

Under the 'AdSense for search' tab in your AdSense account, you may choose to:

1. Open search results in a new window

2. Customize the length and layout of the Google search box

3. Select colors or styles for your AdSense for search results

The second point indicated that google does allow the alteration of the width/length of the box?

Or im i reading it wrong?

Thanks Novice.

You are reading it correctly. When building you AdSense search code you can designate the length of the search box.

Be sure to designate the length when building the code and not by altering the code afterwards. Altering the code violates AdSense TOS.

i should rephrase that.. you're allowed to alter the dimensions provided by the configuration tool.
