My Home Decor/Furniture site which recently seems to have been penalized and dropped by Google is now showing Gay and Lesbian Adsense ads.

I am wondering if this could be being triggered by cloaking or something I am unaware of that may have also played a hand in my recent penalizing by Google. I don't use any unethical coding or techniques.

My site has good PR and is listed among the top in my category in the DMOZ. I recently lost all my top 10 SERPS for many good keywords/phrases.

I, of course, contacted Google about this.

Very frustrated with Google right now. Anyone had this problem or have any suggestions other than adding these sites to my Competitive ad filter (already doing this... but taking lots of my time)?

If YPN is performing that much better for you, seems like it would be smart to give them the majority of your adspace.

I wish that was the case, but it isn't. I only moved to YPN on poorer performing pages that had AS. I started switching before the AS ad targeting went down the drain, and was only doing slightly better. Now that the ads aren't being targeted correctly, even the pages where before it didn't make sense to switch are doing better. Look, I like AS more than YPN when the targeting is normal. YPN pays more per click, but CTR is much lower. I come out slightly ahead overall with AS. But on my poor performing pages, switching to YPN has been a real boon to my bottom line. I'm glad we finally have them as an option!

If Porn Star is against their own policies then why try to keep it from appearing on your site?

They should simply nuke it and tell the advertiser why.

Something does not pass the smell test on that ad....Google, kill those pormn ads, please.

I'd be happy to carry "porn star" keyword ads on some of my pages. The CTR, I assume, would be tremendous. Porn on the net is huge because most people simply can't resist looking, so, in the words of our peerless leader, GWB, bring it on!
