Columbus Day Effecting You?

Will US traffic drop over the next few days?

As a non American I was just wondering whether I could put my poor Friday traffic / adsense earnings down to the fact Columbus Day is on Monday. Is this like a national holiday where people generally take long weekend breaks?

Would be good to know so as I can prepare myself mentally for a shortfall through the start of next week.

Thanks

Columbus Day was a really good traffic and all time highest earnings day for me so I don't suppose it matters where they view the site, at home or work. :)

Its a shame that webmasterworld let this kind of posts to be published.
this guy have problems if he will loose a few $ because of a holiday.I would like to ask him if he ever work on a factory providing hard labour to feed his family ,like the most of normal humans on this planet that they are not informed about the new Gold fever named Adsense or YPN.God where are you.Millions of children dying of starvation and here in WW someone worry about loosing revenues for a weekend.

Because of the people here who can and do earn money and exchange ideas on how to earn more, we have that much more that can be donated to the charities that help those people and the disaster victims ALL OVER THE WORLD. So take your preaching and spout it to someone who wants to listen to you.

Besides the donations, whose tax money do you think the Govt is doling out? Ours.

As a matter of interest Chatnoire is the same person who is complaining about losing $200 dollars a day from a Google update in this thread ... [webmasterworld.com...]

BeeDee,

That link takes me to a log in page that doesn't work.

It figures it would be someone like that, sounded like sour grapes to me.

On my overall sites, Columbus Day doesn't affect my traffic, but for my greeting card sites there's a slight increase.

Does Columbus Day even get observed by anyone besides postal workers and bankers?

I wouldn't have noticed it except I didn't get any mail yesterday.

I didn't either, but I was impressed that (as on other second-tier holidays) NetFlix picked up its mail and sent me an e-mail telling me that a returned movie had been received.

Same here. As far as our web traffic, it was the same as any other non-holiday Monday.

I'm actually having a much worse day today than I did on Columbus Day... go figure.
