Section Targeting = Higher EPC?

Could this be the cause?

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced an immediate jump in EPC after implementing section targeting on their pages. I did it on a high traffic homepage as a test and almost immediately saw a 40% rise in EPC. The funny thing is that the ads didn't appear to vary all that much. I guess it doesn't take much of a change to impact EPC. Any other experiences or theories?

I would be really surpised if Section Targeting was the cause of the increased EPC since you indicate little or no change in ads being displayed.

Section Targeting could improve eCPM (and maybe EPC) if the ad targeting improved or the ad mix changed as a result.

definetely yes.

No more comments - just experiment yourself.

I saw the same ads and jump in EPC 4 times which last 2 weeks and then smart pricing struck again.
