Selling own stuff and adsense?

Question, are you able to sell something (widgets) and have adsense on the same page?

Absolutely. It's better that way as you won't be creating a "Made for Adsense Site".

Yes you can sell stuff and have adsense.

You will have to think about how to handle ads from your competitors - do you want to show them or not? You can use the ad filter in Adsense to block sites you don't want ads from, but they may be some of the highest paying clicks you are missing out on.

Actually it is only one item, it is pretty specific and only for about 5 weeks or so will I sell it.

As a matter of fact I am the only ad using adwords for the ad campaign I am using. It is weird to see a google page with just one ad. How well it does I dont know. It hasnt turned in a single hit since I started it 5+ hours ago

After the 5 weeks or so my home page goes back to the regular home page I guess
