Hi,

I'm a small adsense publisher, currently earn about $8 to $9 daily. I really like to improve so I could earn at least $1000 monthly. I see many activity that I could do to achieve that like adding more contents, building inbound link, tweaking adsense color and location etc.
Each activity requires considerables amount of time, that make it almost imposible to do it all at once.

So in order to prioritize my activity, what is the most important activity do you recommend as an adsense publishers?

Thanks,
Sjarief

Different priorities for different sites but it's got to be one of these three (or a bit of all three):

- increase traffic
- increase content
- increase CTR

currently earn about $8 or $9 daily

A brick and mortar businessman would tell you to invest. And that would be good advice. If you can live without all your $8/$9 a day, do so, and spend the rest on outsourcing whichever of the three you don't personally have time (or don't enjoy) doing.

Example:

If you have 80 pages which are giving you the $8/$9 daily, then you are getting 0.10 cents/day/page. This means that if a new page cost you $10, then it would take just 100 days to pay for itself, hopefully with no further action.

I would suggest....

1: Optimize your page for CTR (test ad locations, colors, etc)

2: Work on building Traffic (Adding content pages is a great way to increase traffic)

A lot depends on your site(s).

If it's a niche site, and you are one of only a few sites covering that topic, then I would concentrate on making your site the "go-to" site as everybody likes to say, i.e. adding a lot of good, original content, because traffic will eventually find you - through recommendations by 3rd parties, links from other sites, etc., and you can work on traffic later.

If you are the only site covering your topic, then I would suggest a mix of working on content and traffic - you can afford to mix things up, because you are the "go-to" site by default, and people are going to come back to your site.

If you cover a large field with many others, where your chances of becoming the "go-to" site are not as easy, then it gets tricky, because you need to get established in the SE's, etc., as early as possible while at the same time working to insure that people come back to your site. If you put up a site that is clearly unfinished and lacking in content, people will visit once and then move on to other sites in your field, but at the same time, you have to start working with SEO, etc., to insure that when your site is fully populated and humming along, so that you will have the traffic later on.
