Domain URLs on 728x90

I noticed that whenever there are 3 or less ads on 728x90, the domain URLs would appear. When there are 4, the URLs vanish magically. I guess the leaderboard just doesn't have enough space for Google to put 4 of those domain URLs horizontally.

I hope this isn't one of the everyone-know-this fact.

:) I don't think it is one of those "everyone-knows-this" facts, because comments about this do pop up from time to time. It has been this way since they launched leaderboards, though.

It's not due to lack of space, as the space alloted for each ad when 4 ads are displayed on the leaderboard is greater than 120 pixels which is the width of the skyscraper which does include the URL. Same thing for the banner. When a banner displays two ads, the URL is never displayed.

And yes, this has been mentioned before. I included it in a post a few days ago, but I know others have mentioned it before as well.
