I have seen some sites with pages in frames with google adsense on header and the official site of the link on the body. Is this against terms of google?

hi,
i just wonder if you can use google ad on a framed page if you're framing another site?

situation 1: you own other site.
situation 2: you don't own other site, but you have editorial power over the page(other site) you are framing with. please share some thought.

Situation 1: Put the ads on that site. Don't frame it.
Situation 2: You don't own it. Don't frame it.

BTW why do you ask this question twice on this board. Do you think we're unable to read.

sorry for the extra posting, i do apologize.

maybe i should get a little specific regarding my question.
if i create a game using quia web service, can i frame it?
develop my own version of game on my site will take too much time.

so i mean i don't own quia website, but i will be able to change the content(game) on the page that i link to.

please note that i would not be able to add google adsense on that page(game page).
So is framing against google TOS in this case?

thanx & regards

If the Adsense code in separate frame, I am pretty sure you won't get any targeted ads. Furhermore, the code will technically be on a page with "little or no content", which is indeed against TOS.

well, i can add a summary and instruction for playing the game on the frame contains adsense. would summary and instruction be considered as "little or no content"?

Not sure, but either way, framing other people's sites is a murky area. A safer option would be to install some web-based games on your own server, there's plenty of them - just search for "free java games" or "free flash games".

The side benefit of hosting them yourself is that they will stay online. Sites come and go, so if you rely on remote content a lot, you can end up with a lot of broken pages soon.
