It looks like AdSense and YPN will have new competition in 2006 from Microsoft:

Yep, I wouldn't count them out. Microsoft has come from behind many times to win.

When they can't win they just give it away to kill off legitimate companies making an honest living.

FIRST - They have to create their own PPC system - WORLDWIDE.

This alone is going to take a couple of years unless all they will have is institutional ads.

SECOND - They have to compete with Yahoo for the bottom end of AdSense sites as those of us that are happy with the current system will not change.

THIRD - They have to get over the natural dislike of MS that many webmasters have.

I don't see them being any kind of a major player for quite a few years.

That said, competition is always good.
