Problems getting ads on homepage

Google Adsense shows up on all my other pages except my homepage!

Even if I name one of the other pages index. the ads come back as public ones. It has been like this for months. Can anybody help?

Hi,

Had the same with the index-page of one of my websites. The problem could be most index pages are not very well targeted but have rather general info.
Adsense don't know wot to do with that.

I would check for a stop word issue [google.com], that is the likely culprit.

Thanks Guys that is exactly what I thought. However if rename a page that is already getting ads to index.htm or index.html then they stop.

A change of file name is stopping me getting ads - Is this something I can ask adsense to help me with or is there a specialist company/person who can help. I am willing to pay as it is costing me each day.
