How do you handle multiple websites?

Some of you guys I know have lots of sites like 5+ or 10+. How do you handle them? Which ones do you devote your time for? Do you get main content up, SEO and try and get links for that site, then move on to the next one?

I only have 2 but building a 3rd and have ideas for more.

Okay, My thoughts on the matter:

#1. Try to have at least i page that dynamically updates daily.

Or

2#. Make an informational site and grow it as far as you can.

On #1 people come back to view the changing information they are most interested in.

#2 a database driven informational site that is fairly large and carries all information available for that given item will have people linking to you as an authority site. Links will grow and clicks will grow.

Always give them the choice of clicking a link to bookmark¦make it homepage with just a small snippet of js on the page. I find people are busy (read lazy) and 1 click to bookmark will work better than to having to pull down the favorites menu etc.

Hope this is clear.

Just my thoughts and item #1 is why my smaller site has gone nowhere fast in 5 years. ;)
