Promoting users to add site as their browser homepage

Hello everyone,

Is it allowed to promote people to set your site(page, e.g.search) page as their homepage? As it will generate lot of impression, which could be considered as artificially generated impression and eventuall account cancellation. I used to have this link on my site and now thinking to remove set as homepage button. What you guys think about it.

Some month ago, I installed RSS feeds on my sites.

I even adopted an open source RSS feed reader
to be downloaded with my RSS feeds pre installed.
