An unexplained bounce in EPC

...on a seasonal topic that's past its peak

Something strange is happening to my EPC. I have a cluster of seasonal pages that were making decent money, but now that the season is well and truly over, the clicks are falling off. Earnings were way down for a couple of weeks. Everything looked normal.

...And then earnings went back up. I'm getting very few clicks, but each of those clicks is worth three to ten times what they were before! What's going on? Am I getting prime ads that weren't reaching my site before because advertisers' budgets dried up? Is each click now worth more to advertisers because there are fewer of them? Are advertisers advertising on this set of keywords because there's a peripheral topic that they want to funnel visitors toward?

The ads on my site look the same as they always have, but that doesn't mean much because my traffic is international, and I can't see ads shown to other regions.

What's happening? Has anyone seen this before?

I don't know why your EPC is rising. However you can see regional targeting from within the adsense preview tool.
