Revenue is down abot 50% and doesn't seem like it's improving. CTR is also down by a few percentage points.

Yep, mine down but quite a bit...

The strange thing is my TRUE stats for my sites have increased... but decreased on Adsense!

Day-to-day variations are meaningless. Trying to draw conclusions from one or two days' revenue is like trying to determine year-round temperature averages from the weekend weather report.

Having said that, I'll add that my own weekend numbers were well above the September average, but I'm not going to break out the bubbly just yet unless it's the cheap batch-process domestic stuff. :-)

It's a big 'ol AdSense world. I had a better-than-average Fri-Sun by about 15%. So many variables involved, it's just impossible to know the "why" and "wherefore" most of the time, especially if you haven't made changes or seen traffic fluctuations to pin it on. Hang in there and keep adding useful content and getting good, on-topic links to your site(s).

Heh, we have one very niche-specific web site which every Friday afternoon/early evening UK time rolls over on its back and sticks all four paws in the air and plays dead until Monday lunchtime!

Obviously a 4 1/2 day week job...that site earned more this morning than it did all weekend.

One of the reasons is that many adwords advertisers do not leave their accounts unattended over the weekend, so they slow or turn off campaigns until monday.

Less adwords ads = less adsense revenue.

Yes and I like it. A totally upward trend that started out slowly about a week ago. And it has gotten a whole lot better since Friday. I'm hoping to see this trend continue.

Might be new advertisers, might be the time of year, might be the weather. Who knows? Might not even last, but AdSense is a wild roller coaster ride with a bit of a seesaw thrown in for laughs. You go up, I go down. I go up, you go down.

kokaroach - it seems the large advertisers wouldn't do this. in fact, i never have heard of anyone doing this. this isn't to say it doesn't happen - i just am personally doubtful that this would have a meaningful effect on ad revenue.

This past Friday was my second highest day for this month and Saturday was another "highest day ever". If something changed, I am also liking it.

I concur with EFV as a few days is statistically insignificant.

Heck, I think I lost money yesterday because people were watching the Emmry's but that's another story.

This month is holding strong like August so far and with the holiday season looming closer I suspect everything will start going up soon.

My earnings have decreased by 30% since 4 days after 2 happy weeks with adsense. But I'm still happy because I'm having a good starting at CJ (3 sales in a week, earned about $250). Adsense up and down all the time, so better vary our income sources. That's how we could get stable and avoid headaches.

Echoing EFV, why get excited or depressed about a few days' results?

In any given short time -any- thousands of adsense sites have an increase, thousands have a decrease, and thousands are somehwere in between.

What's the point?
