Question about AdSense TOS & Site Content

I own an online city specific travel and business guide. A small portion of the site called "drink", reviews different pubs & bars, cafes, and night clubs. Although the pub and bar reviews section is only a small portion of the whole website, does this "alcohol" related content permit me from placing adsense ads anywhere on my site?

If you're allowed to place ads on the non alcohol related sections, my second question would be regarding the cafe section, where the word "bars" appears in the navigation, anyone know if this will cause psa's to run?

Site Content

Site may not include:

Sales or promotion of beer or hard alcohol

[google.com...]

Double check with Google to be certain, but reviews of pubs should be fine. I think it is geared more towards sites *about* beer or alcohol.

This is a great question!
It makes me wonder-
Why can't G create a page with examples of what IS allowed?
Jeeez, how hard can it be to dig a little deeper for those of us helping to generate the income and traffic to make the program work for everyone?
Ex:
The wording of the TOS line, followed by examples of what is GOOD and what is BAD.
I'm not the only one here that gets tired of reading that if everyone would read the TOS, it would all be one big happy.
They are vague.
Proof in the pudding is the email responses people have gotten telling them stuff like this is alright.

Well- what then is alright and what isn't?

I'd like to create travel sites myself- do I need to keep the code off anything that mentions a tavern, bar, margaritas or the like?
Come on.
It seems to me it promotes sales of alcohol.
Will be interesting to see the response.
Please fill us in!

Thanks.

Probably because it would lead to an endless nightmare of publishers arguing that their banned site was "technically" a fraction of a verb inside the "rules".

If your site only contains reviews for venues where alcohol is served, it is most likely compliant with AdSense program polices as Jenstar said. The program policies ([google.com ]) mainly pertain to the:

Sales or promotion of beer or hard alcohol

This is different than reviews of bars, nightclubs and pubs, for example.

If you'd like to be sure, feel free to sticky mail me your URL and I'll be happy to take a look. You can also email adsense-support@google.com.
