should we not display adsense for SE bots?

Greetings

I run a forum, with tons of pages, and google bots are there most of the day.
It just crossed my mind, does SE spiders browsing pages that display adsense, count as impressions? and if that so, wouldn't it be useful to create a different forum skin, with no adsense displayed, and force SE bots to use that skin when viewing the forum?
That way, total ad impressions will be reduced, giving better CTR.

Is that a good idea? or is it worthless?

and, btw: is CTR related to ad impressions or page impressions? because if I'm using 2 skins, but only one of them display adsense, will they both count as impressions when calculating CTR?

of course googlebot hits don't count as impressions.

I don't think SE Bots are smart enough to read JavaScripts. :D

I think this depends on your definition of "read." SE bots may not be there yet but I think they would like to interpret the execution of javascript and will eventually be able to if not doing so already. Certainly the raw js becomes a part of the record that the bot creates and is dealt with (if need be) during the indexing.

But AdSense is very specific about saying that it distingushes between bots and real visitors and in most cases it probably does this very well.

I know that if I search for my site exact name on alexa for example I get tons of matches that are pages displaying my adwords ad. So some bots are seeing AND indexing the google adsense.

Not only would the bot have to read Javascript but download and execute AdSense's script from the remote server. I don't think they do that at this time.
