I have a page about a keyword which happens to be also a car model name.

Well, so I have this page. The page is very clear about what it is about. It is so clear that it gets targeted ads ... but just the half. :( In each 4 ads unit, two are about the product the page is about and two are about cars and cars parts! It is a bit funny but too annoying. Which are my options?

Have you looked at Adsense Section targeting?
The section targetting works by using HTML comment tags and with the relevent content between the tags.
Google emphasise that the content should be a significant amount and that it may take up to 2 weeks for the tags to take effect though.

Wanna trade? I have some pages about cars that almost always get ads for something else by the same name. :)
I just gave up and took adsense off those pages.

section targeting won't work here, because the keyword is the same for the car and what he wants the content to be. If he tells Google to ignore material about "X" he won't get either....
You need to ask AdSense support for a manual fix.

I'm dying of curiosity here.

How long have you had AdSense on your site? I had similar problems, and they where sorted out after a manual review , where ads suddenly also started showing on pages that contained some stop words.
I know it was a manual review since I was asked to remove a line or two that mentioned the ads the same day.
