Why are my AdSense impressions different from my web stats?

Are thoose AdSense impressions correct? I see a lot more impressions on my web stats than what AdSense is showing me.

my web tracking stats always show more (50%+) than what google reports.

i think there is a flaw with the way google count impressions but without proof nothing can be done.

it's obvious two of my page tracking apps can't be wrong, both are always dead on. i expect a slight difference in ad impressions vs what my webserver reports, but not off by 50,000+ impressions, which is the case for me and has been for a long time.
