Greetings

Does it make any difference, regarding how much you earn from adsense, if you are using sites that use subdomains, compared to sites that use separate domain names each? Is that an element to consider when creating new sites? does it affect, in any way, how much we earn?

Subdomains give you the advantage of selecting whatever name best suits your site. There are good examples, like about.com

Any bad side to subdomains?

I don't understand why you think that this matters.

Subdomains have been abused and I've been told that search engines give less relevance to subdomains. Domains are cheap so why not avoid the risk and just use a new domain? (6 months in the sandbox is a negative with Google though)

Hi sallam -

Using a subdomain should not affect your AdSense earnings. However, you should make sure that the top-level domain is compliant with AdSense program policies ( [google.com...] ).

Cheers,
