having trouble with ad display

I recently added some new channels and noticed pratically zero percent click-through rates.

Upon investigation, when placing my mouse over the ads (I have never clicked on any ads), the ads are not clickable, in that the mouse pointer does not turn into a hand.

What is odd though, is that for a very few individual ads, in the same ad block, some are clickable.

I will write to AdSense about this but I am wondering if anyone else has seen this.

Some more info: the ads units are skyscraper ads and they are placed in div tags for absolute positionning with css. I have checked that the html around the tags is closed properly etc but could not find any problems.

Any one else seen this, any thoughts?

Thanks.

Found the answer to my problem and want to share it in case others run into it.

It was a css issue. I had one layer over another layer. The Google Ads were on partially on top of another CSS layer. Although the part underneath the Google Ads was blank, Adsense must have something which detects whether there is html code underneath it.

Even though that part of the table was empty and not interfering with the ad in any way, the ad was not clickable.

Thanks for sharing the solution to this problem. I'm sure this will be useful information for many other publishers who come to WW for answers.
