change host if site pays?

I have around 10 sites (cross-linked) and few of them
already make some money that I could just buy a host
for each of them, even if my crrent account can still
hold lots of sites.

Do you think it is a good idea to change a host
just to get (potential) better rankings considering
mostly I base my position on few important sites and
then link from these to the other smaller sites.

Is is ip a major factor in rankings, has anyone
thought or implemented this idea?
