Article Pages: Sharing own articles hurt your AS pages?

I've seen people that offer their articles for free to other sites for a link.

Is this a good or bad idea? Would it hurt my AS pages if I let others use them on their sites, provided they link back?

Or could I let them take the articles provided they keep my AS codes in there... or is that against the TOS?

Then again they could simply write a few lines about it with a text link to where they are on your site...best of both worlds.

Now that is something I wouldn't do, as I think it is against the AS TOS (I thought you can only put AS on pages you control).

Where does it say you can only put adsense on pages you control?

Would you really want your AdSense code on a page (or site) over which have zero editorial control? I wouldn't.

Nope :)

But that brings up a point-- can someone view your source, and then steal your code, put it up on a spammy site and get you banned?
