google_ad_section tags not working

So here's what I've got on a page:

(Section 1: a bunch of HTML)

<!-- google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore) -->

(Section 2: HTML and text I want ignored)

<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

(Section 3: even more HTML)

The problem is that the tags aren't working. The article deals primarily with the content in Section 3. However, the Section 2 content is obviously the stuff that's being targeted for AdSense.

Anyone else have this issue? I've waited for four days, which is what Google says should be the longest AdSense takes to adjust to these tags.
