I have a hobby website that was established in 2004.

From the first month it has gone from $2 until April this year it was upto $20, then around the same in May, June, July and August.

Already in September it looks like being nearer the $40 region and I hope to build from there.

Not money to retire on I agree - but it does go to show that time adding decent content pays. As most of the Senior Guys on here will say (because I have been reading it for a few months)Adsense it not for those looking to get rich quick - although I'd like to see the income go up a bit more quickly :-)

$2/$20/$40. Are these numbers per day or monthly total?

It's all about traffic. They have a link development forum here at WW, plus you should be sure to read the Google News forum in detail, since love it or hate it Google can drive more traffic than all the other search engines and directories combined.

In particular, read the seminal thread Successful Site in 12 Months with Google Alone (26 steps to 15k a day) [webmasterworld.com]. I've seen GoogleGuy himself recommend it as a great set of principles.

Hi there,

Per month I'm afraid. But it more than pays for the site and the revenue is going in the right direction. Hopefully I can then build on the $40 to maybe $50 and $60 dollars. I'm here for the long run like a lot of you lot - not a quick buck.

Interesting the article you refer to. I'll give it a read.

Take Care
