Greetings

What does "click dump" mean please?
and how does it work, and how does it affect our daily stats?

Think it's a backlog of clicks that you've accrued and haven't been credited with throughout the day - then you're given the lot at once.

Ok, I understand. But how do you become aware of a "click dump"?

Does it shows in your payment account with a message like "Here's a click dump gift from your adsense friends", or something?

Thanks.

lol. You just see an anourmously high CTR. There's the dump. In some cases, you may not be able to realize if the day's CTR is low indeed.

Nothing to worry about.

I only worry about 'impression dumps' :) I seem to get a lot of them without the 'click' part ;)

I think that the impressions may also be held back as well at times so there would be a rise/fall there as well and not in the CTR...

Also could at times just be coincidence.

I have seen so many weird fluctuations and varieties of combinations of Impressions/CTR/eCPM that any unusual spike could be called a click dump.

You can't peek behind the curtain to see what is REALLY going on...

I always figured it was suspicious clicks that Google checked and they were 'clean' after all so they passed them back to me.

Yep, that's a logical reason Ann. I hope it works like that instead of being a stats delay.

I think that click dumps could be related to information commin from non-USA datacenters.
I've seen that much more with sites that have international (english) traffic, so they are awake the 24 hours of the day, than with sites that have just US-America traffic, with traffic decreasing as the sun sets.
So, I guessed, those click bunches came from Asia, Europe, etc.

hmmm,

Makes sense. I have a lot of international traffic so that is possible.

How do you know if its a click dump?

One of my sites had lets say 50 impressions and 0 clicks.

I checked 15 minutes later and it was at
60 impressions and 120 clicks and a CTR of 200%

These arent the real numbers, they are much lower, but the clicks are about double the impressions and this sticks out obviously. Is this a click dump? Or is this somethign I should be worried about? The resulting 'dump' produced as much income as I normally have in a full day.
