I see on this forum many people a submisse posture in the relation with google, like "Oh, how great they are! They will pay some cents from my site! I never imaginate I can earn some money with it! Do not do this, do not think this, its against the TOS"

Ok, the TOS exists to be followed! But how about try to revindincate changes and make things better to the site owner? For example, I thoug paypal.com get about 3% in each transation for their service. Google dont tell the percentage! Dont tell the formula! Google should take about only 3%-7% of the value!

In the Television, the advertiser pays for exibit his ad for people watch. You only need to watch it! In internet, you have to add and to click to get some cents! 2 things! How about a fixed value for page cpm?

Google is great! But the web is most! Google only make "sense" because they search the web. And the web are us!

mlduclos, this forum has had "Fight the evil empire!"/"Don't dis our mighty overlord!" arguments before, though not on this exact topic. The general consensus is that people are not entirely pleased with Google, but they're the best option right now, bar none, so it's best to do what you have to do to stay in until another option comes along. If Yahoo's ads work out, there will be more grumbling on this forum. Until then, we just don't have leverage to demand more from Google.

I also think that the size of Google's cut is low on most people's list of priorities. It's comparable to what other companies take. People seem to be more concerned about Google's "You're out because we say so" policies and the lack of transparency in matters that can cost us our accounts. You picked the wrong topic to rally people around, that's all.

Man, this forum is a kind if jungle with unpleasant people or what?

You started with a high-powered post and took an aggressive, hectoring tone in your later replies. Calm down, read replies closely, and remember that often, what looks like an insult or a threat to a non-English speaker is just a turn of phrase to a native English speaker.

I personally do not care what percentage Google keeps as long as I am making good money with them.

A lot of the trouble, IMHO, is webmasters who build a site, put adsense on it and then sit back and wait for the money. When their inadequate attempts do not make them rich in a month or so then they start bad mouthing Google.

Get real and get your #*$! in gear. Make your site worth visiting, redesign, add more content and get it known out there so you can get visitors and clicks.

Robocops? Where do I sign up!

Seems to me that mlduclos was trolling, and a lot of people went for the bait. :-)

"Don't dis our mighty overlord!"

Until further notice, you will all refer to us as "GoogleLord" or "UberGoogle." Resistance is futile. We know who you are.

I haven't read the full topic but you must realise that Google's AdSense is one of the best programs on the Internet.

It's a great program because everyone can signup (unless there's something wrong with your site) and earn quite a lot without needing significant knowledge.

For example, I thoug paypal.com get about 3% in each transation for their service. Google dont tell the percentage! Dont tell the formula! Google should take about only 3%-7% of the value!

Paypal is something totally different. I believe Google's share of the pie was around 25-30 percent, but I assume it's dynamically and varies from site to site.

In the Television, the advertiser pays for exibit his ad for people watch. You only need to watch it! In internet, you have to add and to click to get some cents! 2 things! How about a fixed value for page cpm?

A fixed value for page CPM exists. Just contact companies to ask if they want to advertise for $x per thousand visitors.

Then there are also CPM programs like FastClick, TribalFusion, Casale Media and others. I have some of them and on average I got less than $1 CPM.

And of course you are always free to try other things like affiliate programs which give you a commission for each sale..

If I like one site that Im using, I proudly visit the advertisor. I SEE the site of the advertisor, I Pay my attention on it, and follow surfing. Dont you agree with it?

Looks to me like he wants to change the T&C to be allowed to click on his own ads. Can't wait to see the "poor me... I've been booted from AdSense" thread next.

And I also noted the inconsistent "bad grammar -- good grammar -- bad grammar". Hmmmm.

What is the point of trolling anyway? Sheer entertainment?
